MONTVILLE, Conn. — When pizza is the focal point, it garners attention. That was a selling point inside Mohegan Sun’s Earth Expo for the Napoli-Ferraro Foods New England Fall Food Show.

Each year Napoli, a Cheshire-based food giant, invites clients from large corporations to small mom-and-pop sub-shops to gather and to graze.

“The objective today is learning, trying, and smelling, just kicking the tires on everything new,” said Marco Marcelo vice president of sales for Napoli Connecticut. “Our job is to lend them a helping hand and show them that there are new things out there that can help in the business sector.”

The day is about connecting with customers and supporting small businesses, Marcelo said.

Michael Cipriano, the president of Napoli-Ferraro Foods Connecticut division said people come from around the region to the food show.

“This is one of the power states of pizza, it’s a great opportunity regardless of where you’re coming from,” said Cipriano.

In 2022, Napoli estimated that around 15 hundred people attended their food show, this year they guessed that the number of attendees was upwards of two thousand.

“This is the largest pizza show in New England and we focus on pizza – pizza is our number one priority,” said Cipriano.
