Walmart steaks are actually really good… and you did a great job! Can I have a bite?

I had no idea you could get Gene’s in a can…

How good are those have always wanted to try, yet I have not.

  5. Man I wouldn’t want to be the poster who posts after you. Amazing looking steak!

Looks great. Walmart has good meat if you look

  7. Fucking sexy, question, what do you pull the steak out at? I use to pull at 120-125 and then sear on each side but I’ve seen some people on here say pull out around 110 and then rest ten min then sear

I’m not a filet fan but this post may make me revisit filet.

Seriously though, the color on the side even! Essentially no grey banding with that level of searing on the whole steak. Would appreciate any elaboration on the pan type and temp used for searing.

I never thought I’d see “Walmart” and “filet mignon” in the same sentence.

That’s looks like one hella of a nice big chunky piece of steak, 😋

  14. I would never buy a steak from Walmart. Worst cuts I’ve ever seen in my life.

that is my platonic ideal for a filet. very nice.

That crust looks spot on, and the inside is perfectly pink. Nailed the reverse sear.

I feel emptiness. I can never eat this steak, but only look on from afar.
