There’s a new reason to hop on the ferry to Treasure Island this fall.

Starting Saturday, September 13th, Off the Grid launches a new weekly event at the soon-to-open Cityside Park on Treasure Island, transforming the waterfront into a Mediterranean-inspired escape complete with artisanal food trucks, aperitif culture, and jaw-dropping views of the bay.

Every Saturday through November, from 11am to 4pm, the adventure includes lawn games on wide-open waterfront greens, live music channeling the spirit of coastal Europe, and a resident DJ spinning Italian summer mashups, and a full bar program will feature Mediterranean classics, San Francisco twists, and plenty of mocktails.

Opening day of Off the Grid doubles as the launch of Cityside Park, the largest green space yet in Treasure Island’s expanding park system. Sitting right at the waterfront with sweeping open spaces and brand-new walking paths, Cityside Park is designed for easy gatherings, weekend wanderings, and spontaneous sunsets just an eight-minute ferry ride from downtown SF.

After September’s grand opening, Cityside Park keeps up the momentum with its Harvest Festival on Sunday, October 5th—a full day of autumn color and community spirit in which visitors will wander through rows of pumpkins, savor fall-inspired bites, and join in on hands-on crafts, games, and activities fit for the whole family.

The calendar will remain full all season long with business and community events across the island: happy hour every third Thursday at Panorama Park; live jazz at Gold Bar and stand-up comedy on Mersea’s patio every Friday; and laid-back DJ sets at Gold Bar Distillery on Sundays as the sun drops below the horizon. For those seeking friendly competition, Bay Padel is hosting regular tournaments for players and spectators.

There’s no better place to enjoy San Francisco’s warmest months with good company, great food, and the bay views. Plan your visit and reserve ferry tickets to Treasure Island at tisf.com/ferry
