I currently have an 18” and a chimney. Guy on facebook has this 22” master listed for $80 and i’ve been in talks with him, although i’ve heard awful things about the grate with the center cut out. Talk me out of/into it because I’m frothing at the idea of an upgrade but don’t want to make the wrong one. Appreciate you guys! 🤝

I’d say it’s a good deal, he’ll probably take a little less too, offer him 60. But even for 80 it’s a good deal. I bought a 22 master touch this summer and I love it. No complaints about the center grate. Get the charcoal baskets off Amazon too. They will help use less charcoal and keep things efficient.
That setup is mint. The grate with the removable center section is perfect for a vortex. You can buy a Weber replacement grate from Amazon or Home Depot or Lowe’s for $40-50. Well worth the investment. This grill will last you for years.
I have two 22” kettles already.
If I came across this one, with the chimney, I’d go pick it up today.
