for me, it’s on the upper end of worth it… I’d happily pay $30 for it
konoyoanoyo
Does that price include tariffs?
Badmofo96
Hmm 🤔 nope. The salmon looks good but for 36 bucks you should have bluefin toro and good rice.
SunlightNStars
Whatever those seeds are they’re grossing me out
Wobblepaws
i mean.. I want to eat it, doesn’t look all that special though, and that’s more than I would want to pay for takeout sushi.
Middle_Macaron1033
Nope. That tuna is saku ahi tuna. Shit is factory cut into rectangles, has added color, sold in vacuum sealed plastic and kept frozen (basically processed in all the bad ways) No bueno. It’s the cheapest tuna you can get. Usually topped on sushi rolls or added to poke bowls. If an establishment serves that tuna as sushi or sashimi, don’t ever come back
I wouldn’t pay more than $20 for this (and that’s being nice)
testnubcaik
If it came with some miso and salad maybe

I’m torn because on the one hand, these are cheap fish. On the other, this is a lot of volume for $36. I’d say it’s not entirely worth it, but it’s not a rip off either
EL_DIABLOW
That’s more than my local AYCE which serves way better looking sushi
Boristhelizard
You can buy a house for this money in Kazakhstan
C1sko
Yes

I’m in the minority here but location wise I’m not anywhere near an ocean/large population so I would be happy to pay that.
SuperDoubleDecker
It seems as if the bbq sub has taken over sushi.
InevitableGap5405
Where I live, definitely not worth the price. This is something that should be $10~$12 g(estimation in usd.) where I lice, you can get a whole filet of salmon for $36 that feeds at least 3~4 people
Prudent-Record9729
I’d pay max $23 for that
KingJanx
At my go-to place 3 kinds of sashimi (9 pieces) goes for $31CAD, so as long as the quality is good, yeah, worth it!
ArmadaOnion
Thats a bit high. I’d call that a 20-25 tops.
DiegoBspZ
You can go to an all you can eat sushi for that price 😅
Otherwise_Pumpkin253
$36 and in a styrofoam box. Yikes

Low quality fish, most likely farmed. Big NO.
Cereaza
Pricey. Not outrageous,. But you can make this at home for like $4 worth of fish.

I can get 3 sushi rolls with 12 pieces each for that price!!!
Looks sweaty. : (
It’s totally worth it. I don’t have the time to go catch that assortment of fish.
How fresh is that fish?
Yeesh. That’s pricey
Can’t review raw fish from a cellphone picture.
Would be about 1000-1300 yen or so where I live
If that is “white tuna “ or “escolar” I don’t trust the place. Hard stop at any price .
