PSA: Avoid Pitts and Spitts at all costs! The sales tactic they have of selling a “high quality” product is misleading. These are the welds on the new Maverick 850 all stainless i purchased ($5,000). When confronted they insisted there is nothing wrong and if I didnt want it to return it via pallet freight on my dime!($600)(400lbs)Finally i shamed them in to paying for the return, but it was too late trash company hauled the pallet away and cardboard ruined in storm. I bargained in good faith for a replacemnt or partial refund. Responce from owner Ryan,”Sounds like you have an alterior motive.” Then i was silienced. Not a single email or apology. They people have 1 motive, money and productivity. Craftsmanship took a back seat when the company was sold to a corperate minded CEO. Also when posting my experience across all platform, multiple previous reviews from other people have been edited to say “high quality build” . This has been the strangest online purchase saga ive ever been a part of.

The welds aren’t pretty, but I’m sure they’re more than sufficient for the loads the grill will need to bear.
Those are Monday morning or Friday afternoon welds. I would return that crap.
As an ex welder, those welds look like shit. The last one you wanted them to look like also looks like shit. This was clearly done by someone who has no experience in welding nor setting up a machine properly. After dialing in a machine properly if they have the proper skill good welds come easy. Yeah I’ll avoid them.

You knew you were going to need to return it and left the box AND pallet outside at the curb?
All these folks on here acting like they wouldnt be absolutely furious if they got this unit. This is unacceptable.
I see a lot of ugly welds but none that aren’t doing their job
