A new Mediterranean restaurant in Downtown Worcester is opening its doors next week, according to the restaurant’s owner.
Situated at the bottom of Worcester’s Glass Tower, Vivienne will officially open on Sept. 3, according to Michael Covino, the president of Niche Hospitality Group.
The Niche Hospitality Group owns several restaurants in Worcester, including The Fix Burger Bar, Mezcal Tequila Cantina, and Bocado Tapas Wine Bar, which was named a top restaurant in 2025 by USA Today.

The new restaurant will feature food from several countries on the Mediterranean coast.
Pictures sent to MassLive from Niche Hospitality Group on Wednesday feature some menu items, including a grilled whole branzino, hamachi crudo and a pasta dish called Mushroom Francobolli, which features pasta in the shape of postage stamps filled with mushroom béchamel accompanied with pork and tomato ragu, roasted mushroom and pecorino.

The interior of Vivienne, which features 220 seats, was crafted in collaboration with Taniya Nayak Design, according to the email from Niche Hospitality Group.
Taniya Nayak Design has been involved in residential and commercial projects, including Door No. 7 in Wellesley, Brick & Ash in Newburyport, and Ruth’s Chris Steak House in Winter Park, Fla., Rochester, Minn., and Worcester.

“Vivienne is about more than dining — it’s about sharing, celebrating, and transporting guests to the Mediterranean through food, wine, atmosphere, and hospitality,” Covino wrote in the email. “We’re excited to bring something truly distinctive to Worcester’s upscale dining scene.”
The name of the restaurant, Vivienne, means “life” or “lively,” Covino previously told MassLive.

Covino and the Niche Hospitality group also opened a new seafood restaurant this summer, The Green Island Oyster Bar, at 90 Harding St.
Vivienne is located at 446 Main St. in Worcester.
