    No, you didn’t. Sorry to spoil it, but in the case of Port, “Vintage” has a very specific meaning. Different than other wine, different than the usual meaning of “vintage” in non-wine contexts.

    Simply, “Vintage Port” is a different thing from a single-harvest Tawny wine you had. It doesn’t spend as long in barrel as a Colheita does.

    An awesome bottle in an amazing city! If you have a chance, take a trip across the bay to Setúbal – some of the best seafood and underappreciated wines in the entire country. Unless you don’t like good seafood and/or underappreciated wines – then definitely don’t go.
