It’s not supposed to look like that. I’m going show you guys how to make brown butter chocolate chip cookies. Your back is going to be huge. Sit down. Classing session. First, the brown butter. We need 3/4 cup of salted butter. Salted is better. You want to make sure your pan is nice and light. It will be easier later on. Place your pan on medium heat. And you want to constantly mix. You have to babysit this. And then once it’s nice and brown and it smells like a grilled cheese, you’re good to go. Do not waste any of it. Look at you making brown butter. The brown butter is nice and cooled, so we can start to the butter. 2 tbsp of sugar and 1 cup of brown sugar. Whenever you do brown sugar, you want to make sure you compact it. And you’re going to whisk that together. I wish you guys could smell this kitchen right now. This is what it should look like. You didn’t do it wrong. Keep going. One egg. Boop. And one egg yolk. The yolk is just for the extra richness. And some vanilla. Homemade vanilla bean paste. Get like me. This is what it should look like. In the same bowl, cuz we’re lazy, two cups of flour, a half a teaspoon of salt. This is vanilla bean salt. I’m bougie, I know. One teaspoon of baking soda. And my secret ingredient, cornstarch. And any brand works, okay? I’m using Walmart. Now, you’re going to give this a mix. And right before it’s fully mixed, you add in your chocolate. This way, you don’t over mix. The secret to a chocolate chip cookie is chocolate chips and a chocolate bar. Chocolate chips aren’t designed to melt. This gives you those melted pockets of chocolate. about a half a cup. I’m going to do one chocolate bar. I know. Got bad news though. You got to let it chill. I prefer for 24 hours. If you can’t wait that long, an hour works, but come on. Wait. Just Just eat the cookie dough like every hour. We’re going to bake at 350 for like 13ish minutes. Don’t overbake. They just came out of the oven. I like to top it off with more chocolate chips just to be pretty and some vanilla bean salt. This is the secret. They have to wait at least 10 minutes before you eat them. The cookies continue baking on the hot sheet tray. It’s just going to bring them together a bit more. And boom. Brown butter chocolate chip cookies. Do y’all see that? Grandma, she’s scared.
