Ingredients:
For the crust:
300g broken semaiya (vermicelli)
1 tbsp powdered sugar
1/2 cup melted butter
For the cream filling:
250 ml milk
2 tbsp sugar
2 tbsp cornflour
3 cheese cube (grated)
1/4 cup malai (fresh cream)
1/2 tsp vanilla essence
For the sugar syrup:
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup water
1 tsp rose water
Garnish:
Finely chopped pistachios
Extra sugar syrup for finishing touch
Steps (Short & Sweet):
Mix semaiya, sugar, and butter. Press half into a greased plate for the base.
In a pan, mix milk, sugar, cornflour, cheese cube, malai & vanilla. Stir until thick.
Pour this creamy filling over the base. Layer the rest of the semaiya on top.
Bake or cook on a pan for 20 mins on each side until golden.
Drizzle warm sugar syrup and garnish with pistachios.
One bite = pure melt-in-mouth magic!
