Are these actually just 110 calories each? When I do the math with the macros and calories it doesn’t add up. I’m new to this, and these confuse me.

If it is actually just 110 calories, how many grams of carbs am I actually absorbing?

  1. Ive read up on it a bit. General consensus is that you should trust the macros and not the calorie count for these.

Mission tortillas make the claim that the fiber “absorbs” the carbs leading to less calories AKA Net Carbs. Most people say thats not how it works and calculate the calories per macros (4cal per gram of protein/carb, 9cal per gram of fat)

Personally i just go with the label (110cal), since i have wiggle room on my counting anyways

Dietary fiber isn’t properly digested by your body. Therefore the real total carbohydrates is 32g – 28g (The Dietary Fiber) leaving you with only 4g of carbs

    4g carbs x 4 calories = 16 calories

    10g protein x 4 calories = 40 calories

    6g fat x 9 calories = 54 calories

    Total is 110 calories
