What are your opinions on where the salad (if present) is positioned on your burgers?
I have always been a salad on top kind of guy. The bottom of the burger is where my tongue is and I want that bit to be meat sauce and cheese – not lettuce. The times I have been served a burger with the salad on the bottom, I eat it upside down.
And don’t get me started on burgers with lettuce on the bottom and tomato on top. Abomination!

I don’t understand how anyone could argue, they are called toppings, not bomttomings.
I hate garden on the bottom. It gets too slippery and the burger falls apart.
Top!! So that my salad thingiees can *Accidentally* fall off my burger while taking each bite.
Burgers should have no more than 3 toppings and a sauce.
Top
Vers
I will forever end up taking a bite from the upright position only for it to land upside down. Unless the toppings are on the bottom.
Bottom, I don’t want cold watery items on my melted cheese.
No salad. You don’t need a slip ‘n slide ruining a good burger.
Top. If I receive a burger with them on the bottom, I will deconstruct it and build it back with them on top.
Neither. The correct order should be lettuce on the bottom, burger, cheese, tomato/pickle/bacon or whatever else on top. I will die on this hill.
That second picture is a tomato sandwich with a ground beef topping
Neither. Put that mess in a bowl with some dressing.
Dosent matter still appetizing

Salad on top. Always. Otherwise, it’s just a soggy surprise waiting to slide out the bottom like it’s trying to escape the burger life 😂
Ummm, yes!!!!
Cheese below the meat. Salad on top.
Salad on the side
All wet green/red stuff should, technically, be on the bottom to prevent soggyfication. Technical words sometimes do fit. But, it does look strange and has weird mouthfeel
For me no matter. The main thing meat. This is my opinion
Salad is a side dish. Lettuce, Tomato, and Onion (vegetables, and before anyone says TOmAto iS a fRuIT, it is a culinary vegetable). Go on the top.
I am generally a bottom person.
I don’t think of onions, tomatoes, and lettuce on burgers as “salad”, but they go on the top bun.
So… since joining r/burgers and marveling at each burger posted on here, I noticed some were putting LTO on bottom. Always been a top guy, but was curious. My last set of burgers I put LTO on bottom and felt it did taste different. Wasn’t a fan because LTO was the first taste rather than burger. Hard pass going forward, but at least I tried it.
Depends how i’m feeling
Bottom to protect the lower bun from the meat juice and sauce. The lettuce becomes a salad with meat juice and burger sauce as the dressing. I also prefer shredduce to leaf
Off.
There’s a whole food theory dedicated to this. I watched it and tried it and it is 100% perfect. [watch this](https://youtu.be/qJskYagyhjE?si=uw7Y-attFjhhllqd)
Onion & pickles on the bottom, cheese, bacon, tomatoe, lettuce on top.
I’m definitely a bottom man. If you don’t go for the bottom everything just drops out!
