There’s a range of culinary creations — both sweet and savory entries — that you can enjoy during the 2025 Georgia National Fair. Here’s what’s on the menu

MACON, Ga. — As the Georgia National Fair near, the fair has announced the entries for the 2025 “Fair Food Fight,” offering a feast of inventive, over-the-top culinary creations for fairgoers to enjoy. 

According to the fair’s website, vendors from across the region are competing with dishes that range from savory spectacles to sweet showstoppers.

Ranging from cheesy Dorito fries, three flavors of funnel cake, to pork belly served in a cone, the “Fair Food Fight” has some interesting culinary creations that embody the essence of fair food.

So as the Georgia National Fair quickly approaches, kicking off Oct. 2-12, here’s the full rundown of what “Fair Food Fight” entries you’ll be able to sink your teeth into during the fair:


Sweet Treats

Death by Chocolate Mini Donuts — The Donut Family
These mini donuts are layered with fudge, white chocolate sauce, chips, whipped cream, and chocolate curls, the fair’s website notes.

Cookie Butter Sandwich Extravaganza — Polar Bear Ice Cream

The fair’s site describes this as vanilla bean ice cream with cookie butter and chocolate chunks, sandwiched between two cookies, dipped in chocolate, and rolled in cookie crumbles.

Chocolate Nutella Roll — Sally Sues Concessions

This dessert features chocolate cake wrapped around Nutella filling, topped with ganache for a glossy finish, according to the fair’s website.

Key Lime in Fairadise — Giant Pineapple

The fair’s site says this frozen concoction pairs key lime with dole whip.

Tropical Keys Sea — Key’s Koncessions

A pineapple and coconut drink topped with pineapple wedge, umbrella, and boba pearls, according to the fair’s website.

Pina Colada Funnel Cake — The Best Around

The fair’s website describes this as funnel cake topped with pineapple chunks, shredded coconut, and cherries.

Pumpkin Spice Funnel Cake — Egbert Concessions

Fall comes to the fair with pumpkin-spiced batter, cream cheese icing, whipped cream, and cinnamon sugar, according to the fair’s site.

Wicked Mint Chocolate Funnel Cake — Paulette’s Food Service

The fair’s website says this funnel cake comes dusted with sugar, topped with mint cookie crumbles, and drizzled with green and pink icing.


Savory Creations

Big Dill Pork Rinds — Machett Experiences

The fair’s website describes these as kettle-cooked pork rinds fried until crispy, then coated in a tangy dill pickle seasoning.

Elotes Quesadilla — Fiesta Grill

According to the fair’s website, this mashup layers the street corn flavors of elotes into a gooey quesadilla.

Patriot Torch — Heritage Hall Eatery

The fair’s site says this is a grilled skewer stacked with Spam, pineapple, onion, and bell pepper, brushed with a sweet pineapple glaze.

Spicy Sun Burnt Pickle Pizza — Gillette’s Pizza and Lemonade

Hand-tossed pizza gets a fiery twist. The fair’s website says it starts with a jalapeño ranch base, mozzarella, hot sauce, dill pickle slices, and red pepper flakes for extra heat.

Tybee Island Dog — Swift Concessions

According to the fair’s site, this deep-fried bacon-wrapped hot dog is piled with Georgia pimento cheese, homemade jalapeño mustard, and crumbled bacon.

The Brutus — Mac & Tots

The fair’s website says it’s a decadent plate of mac and tots topped with pulled pork and smoked brisket.

Pineapple Bay Catfish — Big G’s Food Service

Fried catfish sits on rice and is topped with pineapple salsa and a signature glaze, as described on the fair’s site.

Fried Artichoke — Griff’s Onion and Veggies

The fair’s website notes this dish features fried artichoke hearts served with a Southwest dipping sauce.

Sweet Thai Chili Shrimp Noodles — CW Concessions

According to the fair’s site, this dish mixes shrimp, vegetables, and noodles tossed in sweet Thai chili sauce.

Cranberry Mustard Cheddar Nuggets — Hot Wisconsin Cheese

The fair’s website notes that these gooey fried cheddar nuggets are topped with a cranberry-mustard sauce.

Pork Belly in a Cone — Mr. Pork Belly

The fair’s website describes this relatively simple dish: savory pork belly, served in a cone for easy fair snacking.

Flaming Hot Cheeto Tots — Sattler Enterprises

This over-the-top item is made of tater tots topped with nacho cheese, buffalo chicken, crushed Hot Cheetos, and ranch drizzle.

Cheesy Dorito Mexi Fries — Meester Mike’s

Fries loaded with cheese sauce, ground beef, bacon, and crushed Doritos, finished with chipotle sauce, according to the fair’s website.


History of the Fair Food Fight: 

The fair food fight is now in its 4th year at the Georgia National Fair, starting back in 2022 and bringing culinary competition to the fairgrounds.

Last year, Gillette’s Pizza & Lemonade pulled out the Judge’s choice award in the savory category for their “When Pickled Pigs Fly” pie, which had pickles and bacon on a ranch base. 


Polar Bear Ice Cream’s “S’More Magic Ice Cream Sandwich” was the judge’s choice in the sweet category while the “La Pina Mexicana” from McGrotha Foods won the “Fair Fan Favorite” award.

According to the fair’s website, the “Fair Food Fight” will be judged live on Friday, Oct. 3 at the Miller Murphy Howard Building from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
