Just recently bought a new XL, but had a few questions before I tightened everything up.

  1. The gap where the handle connects to the egg, does that close up when everything gets tightened up? Same thing with the back hinge assembly, does all that mold to the shape of the bad when it all gets tightened?

  2. Are there any compensations I need to make when aligning the dome prior to tightening everything down? Will the dome shift as things are tightened, or should I just need to align it and be good to go?

  3. I hear that double nutting is a solid idea to prevent loosening of the bands, 5/16-18 coarse thread grade 5 nuts, closest thing I have been able to find are 5/16-18 coarse thread zinc plated nylon locking nuts, is that sufficient or will heat be an issue there?

Any additional info that could be useful in getting started would be appreciated.
