I made this pesto Babka that was INSANE! Had it with a camembert with some guests and it went down a right treat!
50g starter
330g reduced-fat milk
1 egg yolk
50g butter
50g honey
500g white bread flower
7g salt
– Mix, and leave
– 4 sets of pull & folds
– Leave to triple in size
– Pull and stretch into a rectangle, spread the pesto over it, then roll it into a sausage. Cut down the length of the sausage in the middle so you have two long equal peices, braid these and put into a pan.
– Proof again for a few hours
– Bake at 180 for 45 minutes
– Enjoy an incredible loaf of bread!
