solo lunch: generally good flavours and technique, pleasant service, but a let down with the petit fours

corn and tomato amuse bouche. this was tasty enough and refreshing. complimentary with the meal

cornish plaice, crabmeat, tomatoes, courgettes. really really good. fish was perfectly cooked and the acidicity of the tomatoes balanced so well with the creamy sauce (all of which i finished) (£39)

potato mille-feuille, sake white chocolate ganache, butter sake gelato. mille-feuille could have been a tad crispier but otherwise this was a hit. the gelato was excellent, creamy while being refreshing (£26)

olive oil macaron, blueberry sweet. the macaron sucked, texture was not good and it tasted like soap. blueberry was fine but inconsequential. complimentary with the meal
