Turkish Kebabs Recipe (Easy & Authentic)
If you love Middle Eastern flavors, this Turkish Kebab recipe is a must-try! Juicy, flavorful, and perfectly spiced, these kebabs are made with chicken mince, fresh vegetables, and aromatic spices. You can cook them in the oven or on the stovetop, making them perfect for family dinners or gatherings.

Ingredients
Chicken mince – 1 kg
Onions – 4 small, peeled and quartered
Green bell pepper – 1, deseeded and chopped
Red bell pepper – 1, deseeded and chopped
Fresh coriander – a handful
Cumin powder – 1 tablespoon
Paprika powder – 1 tablespoon
Coriander powder – 1 tablespoon
Salt – to taste
Sumac – 1 tablespoon
Garlic powder – 1 tablespoon

Instructions
Prepare vegetables
Add onions and bell peppers to a chopper. Pulse until finely chopped.
Mix the kebab mixture
In a large mixing bowl, combine chicken mince, chopped vegetables, fresh coriander, and all spices.
Drain excess water to avoid soggy kebabs.
Mix well with your hands until everything is fully incorporated.
Shape the kebabs
For oven-baked kebabs: Grease a baking tray and spread the mixture evenly. Using a flat spatula or knife, divide into long strips to form kebab shapes. Make shallow indents along each kebab for that authentic look.
For stovetop kebabs: Shape the mixture into long kebabs by hand or around skewers.
Cooking methods
Oven method: Preheat oven to 250°C. Bake for 20 minutes on the lower rod with fan on, then another 20 minutes on both rods with the oven door slightly open. (Adjust time depending on your oven.)
Stovetop method: Heat a little oil in a frying pan and shallow fry the kebabs until golden brown and cooked through on both sides.
Serving Suggestions
Serve hot with lavash or pita bread, fresh salad, and garlic yogurt sauce.
Pair with hummus, tzatziki, or Turkish rice pilaf for a complete meal.
Tip: Always drain water from onions and peppers to prevent the kebabs from breaking apart.
