You are going to love this tuna melt recipe. I drain two cans of tuna and oil. I’m going to add minced celery and red onions. I always lay them out on paper towels to drain excess water. Then just a few tablespoons of mayo to start. A little bit of Dijon, black pepper. This did need just a little bit more mayo. I don’t normally put as much as I would for say a tuna salad. Then you can use butter, but I do like to use mayo on the outside of this grainy bread. Heat the skillet. Add your bread. I’m going to top it with some shredded cheddar cheese. And add a generous layer of that tuna. I’m going to top with even a little more shredded cheese. You don’t want the pan too hot because you want to make sure that the cheese melts. Once the bottom is nice and toasty, you’re going to very carefully flip it over. Let that side toast up and the cheese melt. But I mean, doesn’t this look incredible? You definitely have to try this tuna melt recipe.
