My apple trees have been very generous this season, and I’m determined to make the most of every fruit. From baking to preserving, here are five delicious ways I’ve been using up the harvest:
1) Apple Muffins – Soft, cinnamon-spiced, and perfect for freezing. These are my go-to for quick breakfasts and lunchbox treats.
2) Tarte Tatin – A rustic French classic that turns humble apples into a caramelised showstopper.
3) Homemade Cider – Fermenting cider is a slow joy and a brilliant way to bottle the season.
4) Apple Butter – Rich, spiced, and endlessly versatile. Stir it into porridge, spread it on toast, or add on some pancakes.
5) Apple Pie Filling – Prepped and frozen in portions so I’m always just a crust away from dessert.
