PEORIA HEIGHTS – Frank Abdnour and family officially opened Frank’s: Home of Frank’s Famous Italian Beef on Wednesday, Aug. 27. A Facebook announcement about the opening noted in part: “We are absolutely thrilled to be opening our doors to you TODAY!”
It seems the community was excited, as well. The morning post garnered more than 260 reactions, and the storefront said it had sold out of its Italian beef at 4:05 p.m.
Earlier in the week, the village of Peoria Heights also shared news of the opening and encouraged the community to “Stop on by. You know Frank, and he’s happy to see everybody.”

Where is Frank’s located?
The storefront is situated in the same building as Bust’d Brewing at 4408 N. Prospect Road, Peoria Heights.
When is Frank’s open?
Hours of operation are listed as 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday. The restaurant is closed on Sunday.
What’s on the menu?
At the establishment, customers can find Frank’s famous Italian beef as a sandwich, meal, by the pound or as a kit. Prices are $11.50, $15, $16.50 and $20, respectively.

Served on rolls from Trefzger’s Bakery, the sandwich features turkey, provolone, lettuce, tomato and onion. Customers can then add their choice of Italian vinaigrette, mayo or mustard.The Veggie sub sandwich for $10.50. The sandwich includes cucumbers, giardiniera, lettuce, onion, roasted red peppers, tomato and provolone served on Trefzger’s Bakery rolls. Customers can also add their choice of Italian vinaigrette, mayo or mustard.
