I baked this cake last week, of course it’s way to big for just me and my bf to eat, so I shared with family and my bf’s family and the feedback was so positive!
Also posted on socials and a colleague said it looked like it was from a bakery.
I haven’t always baked well, but to see growth is such a wonderful feeling! I finally feel like I’m ready and want to learn more about the why’s and what’s with baking.

Omg this looks divine, would you say this fudgy icing is a good dupe of generic grocery store fudge icing, like the ones they might have on chocolate cake slices in the bakery department? Hopefully that makes sense haha.
The frosting 😍😍😍 omg it’s gorgeous! The gleam coming off of it is comforting my great grandma used to make frosting like this so you just sent me back to a VERY happy place looking at it. Thank you for that bc I miss her dearly along with her food and I can legit taste this cake in my mouth as it’s watering right now. She had an almost identical chocolate cake with that frosting so yea in melting now with the feels. Thank you for this reminder. Also if you ever want to ship one I will happily buy from you bc it looks scary identical to hers 😍❤️
