How can we ruin delicious scallops while simultaneously wasting good whisky…

Ah the classic bacon wrapped scallops in a whiskey on the rocks ? What everyone wants right??

Nothing sets off a whiskey like some shellfish.

I would obviously prefer a plate, but I just had a couple of gummies, and this shit lookin so good right now ngl. Still need a plate, though.

If it’s just whisky I bet it’s bomb, but I think it’s an old fashioned, which is too much.

I was trying to come up with a ridiculous thing to compare this to. You know, like “why don’t I eat this with my deep-fried caviar.” But honestly I can’t think of anything more stupid. They took delicious scallops, that look genuinely perfectly cooked, and what I assume is good whiskey, and RUINED THEM BOTH.

Is this like a real thing now… where random foods are put in drinks like celery in bloody Mary’s. I thought it was a joke but I keep seeing it.
Don’t get me wrong, adding alcohol to food does wonders for flavor, but adding food to alcohol is…. not the same thing.

Is this what happens if you order bacon wrapped scallops and an Old Fashioned from the monkey’s paw?
