California-based Mediterranean restaurant Nick the Greek has opened its third location in the metro.
The new spot in Lee’s Summit opened in the Streets of West Pryor development at 1020 NW Pryor Road, Suite C, and celebrated its grand opening last week.
Franchise owner and operator Arthur Gilbreath owns the Lee’s Summit spot, as well as the other metro locations: 8807 State Line Road in the Ward Parkway Center and 14321 W. 135th St. in Olathe.
“The Kansas City community has embraced Nick the Greek since we arrived in 2022, and we’re proud to expand our local footprint with a third location,” Gilbreath said in a press release. “There’s a clear appetite for authentic, high-quality Greek street food, and we look forward to sharing our bold flavors and fast-casual convenience with the Lee’s Summit community.”
Its Olathe spot (the first to hit the KC market) was temporarily closed for renovation before reopening a few months ago.
With 85 locations in operation, Nick the Greek is poised to have 100 restaurants nationwide by the end of the year.
The restaurant serves gyros and pitas, salads, bowls, souvlaki and more. Customers can customize bowls and salads with a variety of proteins and toppings.
Nick the Greek was founded in 2014 by cousins “Big Nick,” “Baby Nick” and “Little Nick” Tsigaris. (It’s Greek tradition to name boys after their grandfather.)
The restaurant serves customers in California, Nevada, Arizona, Texas, Kansas, Missouri and Utah.
The Lee’s Summit spot will be open seven days a week, from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
It joins the growing Streets of West Pryor, where 30hop, Magic Noodle and Chicken Salad Chick all opened this year.
