  2. This recipe was made sans ham as a family member who attended lunch does not eat pork. Bacon/ham fat was substituted with unsalted butter. Made the biscuits taste slightly buttery.

    Poking the biscuits at the top caused them to deflate a little, I was not sure if that was intended or not. Either way it didn’t detract from the flavor.
    This recipe tasted similar to pot-pie due to the creamed chicken. Highly recommend.
