The base is just plain rice and water. Make it the same way you’d make rice usually, just add like minimum triple the amount of water as you usually would’ve for rice.

Can have it plain, or add whatever you want into it, however much salt or other seasonings, and just let that cook. My fav is century egg and lean pork like in this pic, but there’s recipes for seafood ones, chicken, veggie ones, etc., super flexible, you can almost add whatever veggies and meats you want.

Play around with the rice:water ratio too to see what you like! I like mine a little thicker, and don’t have time to let it cook for forever, so I use a little less. 1 cup of rice for me makes at least 2 meals worth of this, and it leaves room for more protein and fruits as needed in terms of nutrition. You can also top this off with a scallions, garlic, or a variety of toppings after serving in a bowl too.

This was my comfort food growing up and is so so good at keeping me full while letting me have a huge bowl of something.
