Simple, cheap, and unbelievably satisfyingβthis is gyudon, Japanβs classic comfort food. ππ
At Yoshinoya, you can crack a fresh raw egg over the beef, letting the yolk melt into the rice for that rich, silky flavor.
It might look unusual if youβre not from Japan, but trust meβitβs absolutely delicious. π―π΅β¨

If you want the ultimate disappointment in your life try Yoshinoya in the US.
Yoshinoya is fucking amazing. I love it and I wish there were more in the US.
I’m literally on my way to yoshinoya rn, wtf
this is one of the things i’m most looking forward to eating when we go back.
But does it beat a Jet2 holiday?
Yoshinoya is a weird one to me; their gyudon specifically is good, but many of their non-gyudon options tend to be **ridiculously** greasy.
Contrast with Matsuya, who’s gyudon is alright (not as good as Yoshinoya’s, imho), but their non-gyudon dishes (especially their chicken curry) are excellent.
