A new French Riviera-inspired restaurant, Mamani, opens September 2 in Uptown Dallas. The concept will bring contemporary French cuisine to The Quad under the direction of Michelin-trained executive chef Christophe De Lellis.

De Lellis, who trained at Joël Robuchon Las Vegas, will lead a menu highlighting southern French coastal cooking paired with approachable bistro fare. Early previews suggest seafood-driven dishes and classic Provençal flavors.

The restaurant’s name honors the Cohanim brothers’ grandmother, Mamani, who divided her life between Paris and the South of France and instilled in them a passion for cooking and hospitality.

The Cohanim brothers also operate Namo and Bar Colette, the latter recognized in 2025 as a James Beard Foundation finalist for Best New Bar.

Mamani continues their pattern of high-profile hires. Bar director Ruben Rolon — formerly of L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon — earned the 2022 Michelin Miami Exceptional Cocktails Award and plans to introduce a cocktail program inspired by the French Riviera.

“We have an all-star roster…They’re excited to set a new level of hospitality for the city, one that feels appropriately warm and Southern,” Henry Cohanim told the Dallas Observer. De Lellis added in a release that he looks forward to bringing “the flavors of the Riviera with the soul of Dallas.”

Bryan O’Sullivan Studio, a London-based firm behind projects such as Claridge’s and the Frick Collection café in New York, designed Mamani. The project marks the studio’s first standalone U.S. commission. Its design combines upscale touches with approachability, centered on an enclosed garden terrace that channels the French Riviera while keeping guests cool in Texas heat.

Mamani will anchor the newly redeveloped Quad complex. Opening September 2, it is expected to become one of the most anticipated additions to Dallas’ dining scene this year.
