This one is a serious belly buster of a Scottish breakfast.
2 eggs fried over hard
2 pork links
2 black pudding
3 rashers back bacon
1 round haggis
3 tattie scones
Reduced Branston beans
…and a pan-fried salmon fillet.
No mushrooms or tomatoes because that's Sassenach nonsense. There was clootie dumpling, but that disintegrated before the plate and would have been too much. The third tattie scone was as well. Unfortunately I messed trying to render the fat out of the bacon and it wound up tough. An inexcusable failure.
As for the controversial part. The salmon actually goes very well, particularly with black pudding. It's even got a strong enough flavour to work with haggis, somehow. I'd recommend giving it a go.
