Guys, I don’t have enough time to explain, but I got to make a peach cobbler in less than 1 hour. Watch your fruits. Don’t be nasty. The skin is hard to get off unless you score them and blanch them for 30 seconds. Look at that. They peel so much easier. Watery cobbler is a no no. So, I’m slightly pre-cooking them and making sure that they’re thick before I add the topping over it. If you have a good filling, you can’t have no whack topping. Okay, so we’re going to go in with some butter. Use these. Course that butter into the flour to which you’ll add in your buttermilk. I want the top flaky, so I’m not going to be overm mixing it. And if you sprinkle a little bit of sugar on the top, you get a nice crunch when it bakes. Then bake in the oven for 30 to 40 minutes at 350°. Oh my gosh, y’all. This is the kind of stuff that puts inches on my waist. Hear that crust? You know, the worst part is I can’t even share it with you. Oh, Peach Cobbler is giving Apple Crisp a run for his money. For real.

What are you topping this with?
Peach filling-
•8 cups ripe peaches, peeled & sliced (about 6–7 large peaches or 3 lbs)
•¾ cup granulated sugar (adjust if peaches are very sweet/less ripe)
•2 tbsp brown sugar (adds depth)
•3 tbsp cornstarch
•1 tsp cinnamon
•¼ tsp nutmeg (optional)
•1 tbsp lemon juice
•1 tsp vanilla bean paste
•Pinch of salt
BISCUIT TOPPING
•1 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
•¼ cup granulated sugar
•1 ½ tsp baking powder
•½ tsp baking soda
•½ tsp salt
•6 tbsp cold unsalted butter, cubed
•½ cup Cold buttermilk (or whole milk + 1 tsp vinegar)
•½ tsp vanilla extract (optional)
•1 tbsp coarse sugar (for sprinkling)
Bake at 350F for 30-40 minutes

You’re the best!
That looks amazing!!!
You’ve gotta try mixed berry cobbler next time
Get a couple of cans of peaches, and throw them in a cake pan. Throw a couple of butter sticks and a vanilla cake mix. Add cinnamon. Put it in the oven until it's crispy. Less than 30 minutes.
I make it almost the same. For that size pan, I just use about a half cup of boxed white cake mix, a bit of butter and chopped pecans. I mix the cake mix and butter the same way you crumbled yours, add in the pecans, and sprinkle that over the top of the peaches. Bake, and it comes out with the most amazing topping. Those nuts add just the right amount of subtle crunch to counter the warm peaches in the sauce… 🤤

If anybody wants a peach “cobbler” with more of a crunchy streusel type of topping look up recipes for peach crisp instead! Easier and crunchier in my humble option
