Elderly Woman’s Fork-And-Spoon Etiquette

The clip shared on Instagram features an elderly woman, dressed in a saree, sitting inside a fine-dining restaurant and using a fork with her right hand, and a spoon with her left and to eat a small piece of paneer from her plate.

The clip was quick to grab the attention of the viewers, prompting several reactions from them. An Instagram user wrote, “Great going ajji.” Another one wrote, “Dadi rocks.”

While some users shared their preference to still use their hands to eat the food. A person shared, “I am a general surgeon and come from a very reputed family of army officers and IPS officers. I still prefer to eat with my bare, clean hands. Am I doing something wrong?”

Etiquette Coach Eats Pani Puri With Fork

Recently, a video of a Delhi-based etiquette coach invited the ire of the internet after demonstrating how to eat panipuri with a fork and spoon. Yes! You read that right.

In the video, she lifts a puri with silverware, divides it into two with a spoon within a bowl, eats it, and then drinks the spicy water.

The video triggered backlash from social media users who claimed that pani puri, also known as golgappa, is best enjoyed the traditional way: by filling the puri and putting it entirely into the mouth.
