Cheesy Italian bread sticks. Ingredients: minus 2 cups allpurpose flour. 1 teaspoon instant yeast. 1 teaspoon sugar. 3/4 teaspoon salt. 3/4 cup warm water about 110° F. 2 tbspoons olive oil plus extra for brushing. 1 teaspoon garlic powder. Minus one teaspoon Italian seasoning. 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese. Minone half cup grey red parmesan cheese optional morinara sauce for dipping in. Activate yeast in a small bowl. Combine warm water, sugar, and instant yeast. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until foamy. Two. Mix dry ingredients. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flour, salt, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning. Three, combine wet and dry. Create a well in the center of the dry mixture and pour in the yeast mixture and to tablespoons of olive oil. Stir until a dough starts to form. For knead the dough, transfer the dough to a flowered surface. Knead for about 5 to 7 minutes until smooth and elastic. If the dough is sticky, add a little more flour as needed. Five. First rise. Place the kneaded dough in a greased bowl. Cover with a damp towel and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size. Six, preheat oven. Preheat your oven to 425° fair on height to 120° C and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Seven. Shape bread sticks. Once risen, punch down the dough and roll it out into a rectangle about 1/2 in thick. Using a pizza cutter or knife, cut the dough into strips approximately 1 in wide. Eight. Add cheese. Brush the tops of the bread sticks with olive oil and sprinkle with a little extra Italian seasoning. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes or until golden brown and the cheese is bubbly. 11. Serve.
