Tura has over 300 soups and I’m on a mission to try all of them today we’re making Leonia chasa which is a yogurt soup with meatballs chickpeas and rice start by chopping an onion and add it to a bowl with about 250 g of ground meat then add salt black pepper and mix then it’s time to form your K you should try to get the K as small as possible but I cut my onions way too big so that was not going to happen then add some oil to a pan and also add your ke once they’re cooked add dried mint I added a lot cuz I love the flavor and then also add some pulit then to a pot add washed rice and about 2 cups of water while that’s cooking you can prepare the yogurt you need about 1 and 1/2 cups of yogurt mine was pretty thick so I added water so it could become a bit more runny and then also add a spritz of lemon into the yogurt then add more boiling water to your pot and the cooked chickpeas then take some of the boiling water and add it to your yogurt and mix do this a few times until your mixture becomes lukewarm and then gradually add it to your pot while stirring for a couple of minutes on a medium heat then add your salt and you’re ready to serve this soup was so delicious I’m already craving for more

Add this Turkish soup to your faves 😌🥣 This is called the “Lebeniye çorbası” and it’s a traditional dish that comes from Turkiye’s southeastern regions. The name ‘lebeniye” is derived from the Arabic word “leben”, which means white & is also used to refer to yogurt or milk.
I tried to get all the steps in a logical order as much as possible! Also don’t mind the medium-sized köfte. I only noticed I cut my onions WAY too big for chickpea-sized meatballs, so we’re just winging it.
INGREDIENTS
For the soup:
2 tablespoons of rice
1 cup of boiled chickpeas
1.5 cups of yogurt
Salt
Juice of half a lemon
5.5 cups of water (in total)
For the topping/meat:
200-250g ground meat
1 onion
Salt
Black pepper
Dried mint (add as much as u want)
Pul biber / Aleppo pepper
If you want a rundown on the recipe, I’ll add it to my website this week so you can print it out or save it! Http://http://www.serramoon.com
I am definitely going to make this soup. Thank you for this great recipe. 💕
Thankyou ❤😊
Thank you, so yummy meat ball soup with yoghurt ❤
What type of yogurt it is ? Sugar free?
Probably got it from syria
My mom is Pakistani, she makes kofta, which is meatballs (ground beef usually) in a rich gravy ❤❤ I forgot about how much I ate this as a kid. Also, as a kid I didn't like mint and meat together (kinda overpowering) so she cooked it with ground nutmeg (delicious, esp w korma), parsley and butter soft potatoes. Thank you for sharing 🙂
Instant subscribe! May soup reels nvr leave my fyp
My mom called this "ye beni", after she passed away, I have never ever had this soup. It is one of the best, my mom also made little balls in the same soup, the same shape as the meatballs, also chickpeas and these little balls which she made with purized meat, not minced purized, and bulgur and some spices. It is almost similar as the outside of içli köfte, but meat in it and very tasty.. In Gaziantep they call the soup with those balls, Antep yuvarlası,but my mom added those balls in this soup instead of the Antep yuvarlamasi. My old time favorite is still mercimek tho, not 1 single soup in this entire world can make me so happy in th morning as a big hot bowl of Mercimek çorbası, spicy, with fresh bread.
Pul biber=chilly flakes
Looks sooooo good, definitely gonna try 😋😋
Ekşili köfte ❌ Lübeaniye lebeaniye or wherever corbasi ✅
That looks so good
Omg gonna make it even tho it’s 40 degrees outside
