Today’s roast: roast chicken, stuffing, Yorkies, mash made with Maris Pipers & swede, white cabbage, roasties, carrots, broccoli, pigs-in-blankets, and proper gravy made with chicken juices.
Washed it down with a Jim & Dad’s Brewing Co. Porter (cheers, Beer52). Because what better to drink with roast chicken than roasted grains? 😉 Roast-on-roast action.
Tomorrow’s bait? Chicken & stuffing sarnies on white bread with a touch of mayo — I work on building sites, not in a posh office 😅 No sourdough or artisan anything, just classic flavours in a pack-up that’ll make the rest of the site jealous.
And the rest? That’s going to Ruby — my daughter, not a dog! 😅 She’s already clocked what’s in the fridge and knows what’s coming. You don’t need a tail to get excited over leftovers!
Proper Sunday. Proper plan. 🐔🥪🍺

Sorry but the roast potatoes look mediocre and the gravy is way too thin
This looks sooo good!
Stunning 👌
Tasty, I’d prefer more than one carrot though lol
Looks good to me. Only thing that seems to be missing is some chicken skin with a nice bit of colour. Looking at the thigh, that would really set it off.
Mash and roast potatoes? 10/10
I could eat this now 😜
