  1. This is my first Argentinian Sémillon.

    Dark golden in color.

Light nose and medium in body with medium acidity.

Dry on the palate with nice complexity.

Showing limes, citrus, green apples, minerals, sea salt, light earth and herbs.

Medium length on the finish with limes and light grapefruits.

Nicely balanced and good by itself or with food.

Tasty right out of the bottle.

Sémillon grapes from 60 year old vines are aged in neutral French Oak barrels for 6 months.

    13% alcohol by volume.

    89 points.

    $45.

It takes some balls to charge $45/btl for Argentinian Semillon

Nice. I swear Argentina wines don’t get the respect they deserve, there’s a lot going on there other than just Malbec.

European wine geek living in Argentina checking in.

Semillon and Cab Franc are without a doubt the future of Argentina IMO (or atleast Mendoza.)

If you get a chance there is a (at this point) legendary very old Semillon vinyard in Peral, alot of new young new gaurd get a small allocation and produce some expectacular bottlings.

    German Maser Credo Semillon.
    Descendientes Semillon
Michelini i Mufato Certezas to name a few.

They fetch a hiher price tag, but fun to try!

Mendel makes a great sub 30 USD Semillon aswell!
