Gulfport’s getting a French restaurant once again (the last one was La Cote Basque, where Pia’s overflow parking is currently on Beach Boulevard): Sarasota and Bradenton favorite Mademoiselle Paris French Restaurant and Bakery will open a new location at the Peninsula Bed and Cocktails later this year.

The restaurant will require a total rebuild of the old dining room in the Peninsula, including ripping out and replacing the flooring. As with all business projects that require construction, opening dates are a moving target. However, the Mademoiselle Paris Facebook page says the restaurant could open in December.

Additionally, the French café will have independent opening hours from the Peninsula Bed and Cocktails, serving breakfast, brunch, and dinner. 

“Just minutes from St. Pete, you’ll soon be able to enjoy our authentic French pastries, breakfast, brunch, and dinner in a beautiful historic boutique hotel setting,” a post on the business’ Facebook read. “We can’t wait to meet our new neighbors in Gulfport and St. Pete and share the flavors of France with you.”
