I flew to Buffalo and had 7 orders of wings at 7 different restaurants over the course of 2 days. Here are some pictures, thoughts, and love

Here be some additional thoughts about other flavors

Garlic parm at **Wingnuts** tasted of butter and parmesan but no garlic

Garlic parm at **Doc Sullivan’s** was reinforced with something wet, sharp, vegetal, and pleasant– what was either Sweet Baby Ray’s garlic parm sauce or perhaps a touch of italian dressing

Beef on Weck wings at Doc’s were creamy and luxurious with a slight nasal punch. Nice and indulgent without feeling too overwhelming, the way I’d imagine wings smothered in a dipping sauce would taste.

Cajun honey butter bbq at **Bar-Bill** were rich and sweet, with notes of fresh ground black pepper.

I didn’t evaluate the blue cheese because I just don’t feel like it anymore

    Adolf’s: “ I thought they’d be Hitler miss” lol

I would think of this as a destination vacation and am very jealous here in NC.

Which one was your favorite? You had me at “seismic crunch”.

Thank you for sharing your experience and I dig the critiques on each! I swear this sub has convinced me to add Bar Bill to my bucket list! Those look legendary!

Elmo’s hot Cajun back on the chargrill double dip are 💯my fave in Buffalo. Living in FL now haven’t found anything like it but have found some decent wings that scratch my itch but always make multiple trips to Elmo’s when I’m home. We did a wing tour last Christmas and as far as a standard hot wing goes 9/11 tavern was the most flavorful hot wing I’ve ever had they were incredible

    The Adolf’s review 🤣🤣🤣

Which ones were your favorite? I think a rating system would’ve helped me a bit

But this was a fun read!

Love your assessment of Wingnutz. Almost everyone I know thinks that place is extremely overrated

  11. With these circumstances I cannot in good faith rank Buffalo wings. Fairness is key.

I gotta say that Adolph’s look most like my kinda wings. No idea how they tasted, but they look crisp, not overly sloppy, and just the right amount of wet. I like all the flavor, but I don’t want to wear an apron and gloves to enjoy my meal.

Any fries on the side with these? Some nice, crispy, perfectly seasoned fries can make or break the meal for me.

  13. Well which would you go back to if you could only go back to one?
