Swiss International Air Lines has renewed its long-haul inflight service in business and first class, including changes to meal service and amenity kits.

In business class, the augmented meal service includes the addition of a soup course, an expanded range of cheeses and desserts, a new selection of dessert pralines and the addition of a fresh item, such as olives, to accompany the pre-meal nuts snack.

First-class flyers receive further offerings, including a pre-flight pastry and welcome drink, French-inspired appetizers, a between-course seasonal sorbet to cleanse the palate and an expanded bread selection to accompany the main meal.

Once it’s lights-out time, Swiss business-class flyers will experience new bed linens, and on flights longer than 10 hours, an additional seat cover and a new sleepshirt.

New amenity kits were co-developed with eyewear brand Swiss VIU. And Swiss said flyers receive high-quality headphones “to ensure optimum sound for the extensive inflight entertainment program.”

First-class flyers receive a new amenity kit as well, featuring items from the luxury French skincare brand Sisley. Swiss underwear brand Zimmerli is providing pajamas and slippers. Swiss’ signature Alpine Valley scent will be infused into hot towels, pillow sprays and more.

Swiss’ service upgrade will augment the airline’s introduction of all new long-haul Airbus A350 interiors this winter. Boston-Zurich will be the first transatlantic route to receive the new aircraft. The Swiss Senses configuration was developed alongside, and will be similar to, the Lufthansa Allegris interiors that are now flying, though with differing decorative flourishes.
