Is this old One touch pro classic worth restoring?

Picked up this grill a while ago as a restoration project and to learn how to grill with charcoal. After cleaning it I discovered the bottom had rusted through where the leg mounts where welded. Is it easily fixable or do I need to retire it? Is it even worth the hassle?

Edit: My main concern is hot ash falling trough the rusted holes. Any thoughts?
