Labor Day is known as the “unofficial” end of Summer for many people, which baffles me because here in El Paso summer seems to overstay its welcome when it comes to the weather!
However, despite hot afternoons still being in the forecast, Fall is right around the corner and Fall in Texas might not come with crunchy leaves and sweater weather the second September hits but when it finally does show up, it’s magical.
Pumpkin Spice, Football, and More: Things To Look Forward This Fall in Texas
First off, that unpredictable Texas weather:
Texans live for that first cool front when you can walk outside without feeling like you just stepped into a sauna. Suddenly, patio season is back, and your iced coffee can finally be hot coffee!
Then there’s football!
Yup. Football is back both and Texans sure love their football! From Friday night lights at high school stadiums to packed college games and NFL watch parties, fall in Texas basically runs on touchdowns and tailgate food.
Fall means that fair season is here
The State Fair of Texas in Dallas is legendary! Or so I’ve heard because I’ve never been to the State Fair, but it’s on my bucket list! Big Tex, fried everything, and carnival rides that make you question your life choices?! Count me in!
Local festivals across the state also mean pumpkin patches AND MORE!
Craft vendors, and all the kettle corn your heart desires. Families can start planning their days at the pumpkin patch, cute Fall dates are back, and so much more!
And let’s not forget the spooky season
Haunted houses, Día de los Muertos celebrations, and small-town fall festivals bring out the perfect mix of cozy and creepy.
So sure, Texas might take its sweet time cooling off, but once fall hits, it’s a whole vibe!
