I am currently doing a 10hr slow cooked pork shoulder per recipe tin eats (https://www.recipetineats.com/pulled-pork-with-bbq-sauce/#recipe)
I misread the recipe and I accidentally used a stout beer when the recipe said use any beer OTHER than dark beer 🤦🏻♀️ fml
How badly have I messed up? Is there anything I can do to counteract this?
Please help 😂 I am meant to be feeding this to 8 people tonight.

I think you’ll be fine. It’s only one cup of beer. I make a Guinness stew that has similar components of your dish and it always comes out really good.
Do *you* like dark beer? Do the others eating this like dark beer? If the answer is yes then you shouldn’t have a problem.
If your answer is no then drain the slow cooker and replace it with a different beer. I’d preheat the beer in a pan first with the other spices.
