Ingredients for Masala Prawns Fry:

– 500 gms Prawns or Shrimp – 300 gms net (shelled & deveined)

For marination:
– Turmeric powder- 1/4 tsp
– Red Chilli Powder- 1 tsp
– Salt- 1/2 tsp
– Ginger garlic paste- 1.5 tsp

Spice Powders:
– Coriander powder- 1 tsp
– Cumin powder- 1/2 tsp
– Fennel (Saunf) Powder- 1/2 tsp
– Garam masala powder- 1/2 tsp
– Kashmiri Chilli Powder – 1 tsp

Other Ingredients:
– Onions, sliced- 2 medium
– Green chillies, halved & slit -4 nos.
– Curry leaves- 15-20 leaves
– Juice of lemon- 1.5 tsp
– Oil- 3 tbsp

Preparation:
– Marinate the prawns with the items indicated and set aside for around 30 mins.
– Slice the onions and slit & halve the green chillies.

Process:
– Heat oil in a pan & add the sliced onions. Fry the onions on medium heat for around 6-7 mins till light brown.
– Add the slit green chillies & curry leaves and fry for 1 min.
– Now add the marinated prawns & sauté on medium heat for around 2 mins.
– Add the spice powders, mix well & fry on medium heat for around 3-4 mins till the masala coats the prawns well.
– Squeeze in juice of lemon and mix it well. Stir for a minute and serve hot.
