This Italian dinner diner is molto mad about his menu mismatch.

An Olive Garden customer was “very upset” that his steak and shrimp bucatini didn’t look like the picture that advertised the meal.

The man’s wife shared a photo of the meal next to the picture advertised on Reddit and wrote that she thinks “he was overreacting.”

The original poster shared in the comments that her husband “thinks they put in no effort. He says ‘I wish Gordon Ramsey saw this.’”

Commenters were quick to agree with the wife, with many noting that food almost never looks like the picture, and commercial or menu images are the result of food styling hacks.

“He’s overreacting. Show him videos about food styling,” someone said.

“Food never looks like the advertisements anywhere you go, it never will, since the food in the photos will have been arranged by a food dresser/stylist,” another added.

“Tell him about food styling and tell him that if he wants a meal like that, he needs to go to a Michelin-starred restaurant. Olive Garden is not a Michelin-star restaurant. Eat your food and be happy,” one wrote.

One person shared a personal food styling experience, writing, “My wife worked at Wendy’s years ago, and her store was chosen to be the set for commercials. She said the work, the illusions, that go into making it look perfect, is unreal. And there’s plenty of sites on YouTube that show the fakery it takes to get it to look perfect.”

Some even said that there’s no point in being upset over how a plate looks — it is Olive Garden, after all.

“Oh wow, that actually looks great for Olive Garden. Would not complain one bit,” one person wrote.

“You went to an Olive Garden…. He expected it to look exactly like the picture? Crazy. Did it taste good? If yes, don’t complain,” another commented.

“Sir, this is an Olive Garden,” someone quipped.
