this is what I get for asking my husband to pick up some necessities at the grocery store

Have you tried it? I’m curious about this condiment

works in a pinch but I still prefer it all separate.

It’s fun to give as a gift along with giardiniera, sport peppers and neon relish for folks who have moved away. More fun than delicious, but not bad either.

    Hm. I’d imagine it’s sour/vinegar taste? I’d try it.

This could actually be a game changer for me. I love all of the flavors in a Chicago dog—I’m just not always a fan of the “mouth feel” of some of the ingredients. (I love the flavor of pepper, I just don’t always like eating an actual pepper. Same with tomatoes and onions.)

I’ve gifted this to family before.

UPDATE! Tried it tonight on burgers. Smells vinegary and a little heavy on the celery salt (the best of the toppings, imo, anyway). The first bite hits exactly like the first bite of a dog. Piquant flavors of the peppers and onions dominate, but dissipate pretty quickly, leaving the sweetness of the relish and tomatoes. But unlike a dog, the novelty of this condiment wears off and wears thin and you’re left with a runny concoction that looks like what could happen after eating too many Chicago dogs.

Likes: efficient, fast, single condiment that gets the job done.

Dislikes: a little too spicy to me, a little too sweet to my husband. I’m not surprised the ratio of ingredients is off seeing as it’s literally a pulverized topping bar in a jar.

I do appreciate the ease of this and how it could give the flavor of all of the toppings to eaters with texture sensitivities. Also love the ability to stick this in a Welcome to Chicago gift, even if just for laughs. Not for me, but I love the idea!

And yes. I agree. I am a lucky woman who married way out of her league. If you think this is good, you should see what he brings home from Costco.

I saw this for sale at Gene’s and was very tempted but I had a feeling it was too gimmicky.

It’s great. Picked one up from Paulina the other day

This is a solid co worker gift. I appreciate the idea 😂

  11. Ugh… might as well just stick the whole dog in a blender.

I’ve been here about 15 years and never seen it. What is it made of/what does it taste like?

I can’t support products with lazy, inaccurate skyline silhouettes on their packaging.

Which grocery store? Ive been trying to find it in store without having to order it online.

  15. As a condiment for other condiment purposes, I like it. It’s obviously not a substitute for the real thing on a real Chicago Dog.

Another company makes [Windy City Sauce](https://livezesti.com/products/windy-city-sauce-chicago-style-hot-dog-sauce) which is a heavy mustard sauce also with some Chicago Dog ingredients

It’s also decent, more mustardy, but same not something I would consider a substitute for the real thing. I like to use this and the Chicago Sauce above on sandwiches sometimes.

The bigger winner is the [Chicago Fry Sauce](https://bigforkbrands.com/products/chicago-fry-dipping-sauce) for me. It’s good for fries, a generic single sauce for burgers, etc.

Chicago sauce is mild sauce not whatever the hell that is

Pass. The fun part of the garden is all the different textures. I had this once.. that was enough for me.

What’s that building sitting under the letter u in the silhouette of this logo? Hard pass from me purely on an architectural level
