LEGO has officially unveiled 10362 French Café, a brand new not quite micro-scale, but not quite minifigure-scale model, celebrating houses of cuisine across the globe.

The 1,101-piece LEGO 10362 French Café falls under the LEGO Icons theme, and is part of a new “Restaurants of the World” collection, and will retail for a relatively manageable US$79.99 / AU$129.99 with a release date of 1 March 2025 where it’ll be available from LEGO.com or your local LEGO store.

The set depicts the front facade of a gorgeous little café, appropriately-named Café Fleur as it’s tastefully decorated with bunches of hanging pink flowers. As you can see, the set is kind of minifigure-scale based on the doors, and accessories used, but the size of the chairs and tables don’t quite correspond to minifigure-height, so I’d say this is a completely new scale LEGO are working with here.

The set measures 30cm (11.5 in.) wide, and 16cm (6 in.) tall which is quite a manageable size for a display model, and with a minimalist black base, it makes for a tasteful bookshelf display.

And no, unfortunately, there is no interior and the back is a jarring void, compared to the gorgeous exteriors out the front. There are some connection points at the back – perhaps a hint of future possible connections to other buildings?

Here’s a 360 view of the French Cafe.

There’s a minimal interior here as it’s not a complete building, but the double doors do open up to reveal some hidden, cozy details. The front is full of great-looking touches from the classically-Parisian brick work to the ornate streetlight, gold-trimmed windows, chalkboard shop sign and the soft blue-and-white tables adorned with newspapers, coffees and pastries (yes, there is a croissant here).

On the whole, it’s always exciting to see LEGO launching new collections and formats, and I’d love to see where else in the world this series takes us. I for one, would love a Kebab Shop, New York-style Pizzeria (or Billund!), and especially a traditional wooden Japanese Sushi Shop.

10362 French Café will be released on 1 March 2025 and will be available from LEGO.com or your local LEGO Store.
