  1. It’s never just ‘a handful of orzo’. That stuff expands to suck up any moisture a dish might have had, and continues expanding even when refrigerated.

    There are probably horror stories to be written about orzo, ala *The Blob*.

    Just a hint that works for me is to cook starches like pasta, rice, farro orzo etc, separately from the stir fry, curls, beans so you can control water, heat and timing and get both perfect. Add together later. You can still add bay leaf or Better Than to the starches so they have their own flavor. That being said, I’d definitely dig into this dish!
