One of the Selosse disciples, and probably my favorite one. The hype around this producer has fortunately not reached the level many of his peers have. So you are still able to get some bottles for good prices. He has a lovely saline/oxidative style. 60% Chardonnay, 40% Pinot Noir, vinified in small 228l oak barrels.

    ## Tasting note:

Nutty, oxidized notes, oak, ripe apple, brioche, salinity, crisp acidity, long finish, and lovely, well-integrated mousse.

Definitely opened up with some air, no surprise because it was still a young bottling. But it was already going strong and enjoyable from the start. Great value in my opinion.

    Dosage: 2,5 gr/l

    Dégorgement: October 2024

    Tirage: July 2021

Les Couarres is one of my absolute favourite champagnes. I wish it was more readily available..
