THE KITCHEN — What’s your favorite barbecue sauce? Common examples include Blues Hog, Stubb’s, Famous Dave’s, Kinder’s and Sonny’s BBQ.

Or perhaps you have a special sauce recipe and make it yourself. If I had the skills, that’s the route I’d take.

But in my house, we stick with Sweet Baby Ray’s. Not only is it a fun name to say out loud, but it also has a great flavor that appeals to even the most discerning food preferences. I suppose that’s because the sauce’s first ingredient is high-fructose corn syrup.

Anyhow, I’m not here to debate sauce brands or the merits of high fructose corn syrup. No, I wanted to share a daily pick-me-up. Check out this delightful little video.

Who among us hasn’t chuckled at the unmistakable sound of a mostly empty sauce bottle being squeezed? But it sounds even sweeter when it’s a cute baby who’s doing the laughing.

So I hope you enjoyed the video. It’s so much more than just the baby’s laughter. If you’re like me, it also reminded you of how delicious barbecue chicken can be. I’ll definitely be grilling some tonight and it’ll be slathered in Sweet Baby Ray’s.
