Welcome back to my 30 days of fall food and wellness series where every day I bring you something fall food or wellness related. Today we’re making a fig salad. So I already So I already have kale washed and ready to go. So we’re just going to use that. I love figs. I have loved figs since I was a kid. I used to eat fig mutton which now that I think about it is a very like elderly thing to eat. Now, I feel like figs necessitate pork. It’s kind of like the PB&J of the meat and fruit combos. And so, I’m going to do a little bit of pushido. And I want it warm and kind of chewy and not crispy. So, we’re just going to get it in the pan for a little bit and then put it on the salad. We’re just going to throw in a little bit of cheese cuz you need cheese. I feel like vegan goat cheese and regular goat cheese are pretty similar. Yeah. And then I just dollop the cheese onto the salad. It just gives it kind of a creamy, velvety texture. Put in the pushcido, drizzle it with a little bit of balsamic vinegar. And voila, you have a beautiful fun fall festive fig salad. The figs are like just this side of sweet. And then the candy pecans kind of take it over. The vinegar perfection. The salt on the pork immediately. Yes. And then it’s cheese. It’s like this like velvety smooth cheese. New favorite salad unlocked. Cheers. [Music]
