Dude. I’m a firefighter. The number of times I’ve been used as a weapon by people who don’t like their neighbors grill, smoker, chiminea, or gas fire pit over my 12 year career is STAGGERING. I don’t even want to venture a guess how much public funding has been wasted just on my calls by people who hate their neighbors and take every opportunity they can to “get” them by doing stuff like calling the fire department on a delicious brisket.

I switch to as much charcoal as I can and pre eptively share some chicken wings. Once eating most feel guilty about complaining. Cheap peace.

I live in condo community with an HOA and I was smoking the same type of ribs for my son’s bday and someone reported it to the HOA. The HOA just told me about it but said there wasn’t an issue, they just told me to be mindful I guess? It was silly.

I don’t have a pellet grill, but that looks like a lot more smoke than I have after the first 15-30 minutes. I’m not justifying the fire department call at all. Do pellet grills smoke this much throughout the cook?
