I’m making recipes from the back of packaging to see if they’re good or garbage. This is episode 8 and today we’re making Benton S’more Molten Cupcakes. You’ve all been here before. You buy a prepackaged food stuffs and on the back there’s some random recipe that includes said food stuffs. No doubt put there by the brand in order to get you to use and buy more of their products. But are these recipes actually any good? My goal in this series is to make as many as I can and rate them on if they’re good or garbage. Back to this recipe. The first known publication of normal s’mores recipe was in 1927 by Loretta Scott Crew. It is said she made them for girl scouts to enjoy by the campfire. I was unable to find when these s’mores inspired cupcakes were originally created, but with their crumbly graham cracker base, lava cake chocolate center, and gooey marshmallow topping, these are definitely approved.
